Overview
Millions of skilled artisans in Ghana — plumbers, electricians, masons, carpenters — operate informally, relying entirely on word-of-mouth for work. Artisan Trust gives them a digital profile where past jobs, client reviews, and skills are verified and publicly visible. Customers can browse artisans, view their job history, and hire with confidence. The platform was built with Vue.js + Quasar on the frontend and a Node.js REST API backed by PostgreSQL.

Problem solved
Skilled artisans in informal markets often lose opportunities because their reputation is locked in word-of-mouth networks. Customers also struggle to verify quality, past work, and reliability before hiring.
My role
I built the full frontend using Vue.js and the Quasar framework, implementing the artisan profile pages, search and filtering, and the job history timeline. I also contributed to the backend REST API built with Node.js and Knex.js.
Challenges overcome
The challenge was translating informal reputation into a digital experience that felt credible. Profiles, reviews, skills, search, and job history all had to support trust without overwhelming the customer.
What I learned
I learned that marketplace UX depends heavily on trust signals. Verified history, clear profiles, and useful filters matter as much as the underlying search functionality.
