Overview
The Akokotakra mobile app is the farmer-facing side of the Akokotakra agri-tech platform. Farmers use it to log daily farm activities, track livestock health and growth, access agricultural education content, and receive notifications. The app supports multiple languages (English, Arabic, French, German, and more) via i18n and was built to run on both Android and iOS from a single Flutter codebase.

Problem solved
Farmers needed a mobile-first way to record livestock activity, access education, and use the platform in their preferred language while working away from a desktop environment.
My role
I worked on several screens including the home dashboard, farm activities module, and settings. I also integrated the i18n translation system and worked on the app's data layer connecting to the backend API.
Challenges overcome
I had to build screens that worked across devices and languages, including longer translated strings, right-to-left language considerations, and data flows that stayed reliable on mobile.
What I learned
I learned to think about localization as a core product requirement rather than a final pass. Layout, copy length, navigation, and settings all needed to support multilingual use from the start.
Let's work together.
