Overview
Akokotakra is an agri-tech platform helping Ghanaian farmers manage their livestock and farm operations. The admin dashboard gives platform operators a bird's-eye view of farms, users, and activity across the system. It includes data visualizations built with Recharts, a role-based permission system, and deep integration with the platform's GraphQL API and MongoDB backend.

Problem solved
Platform operators needed one place to monitor farms, users, livestock activity, and operational trends across a growing agri-tech system instead of relying on raw backend data or manual reporting.
My role
I built the admin dashboard front-end from scratch, implementing the data fetching layer with graphql-request, designing the component architecture using Radix UI primitives, and integrating Firebase Admin for authentication and session management.
Challenges overcome
I had to present complex farm and user data in a way that was scannable for admins, while also enforcing role-based access and keeping GraphQL data fetching predictable across dashboard views.
What I learned
I learned to treat admin dashboards as operational tools first. The most useful UI choices were the ones that helped users scan, compare, and act on data quickly.
